Abstract

The software startups teaching approach questions about startups creation, operating conditions, when they end up and become a business model and foundation plans. This paper sought to identify the tools, models, methods and methodologies that are applied in the teaching and learning of software startups for undergraduate students in higher education institutions. Based on a systematic mapping of the literature (SML) 32 studies were selected. The SML resulted in the discovery of practices employed such as Experiential Learning, Empirical Study and Experimental Method. From that, some assumptions and directions were outlined and presented seeking to improve the quality of teaching, students' motivation and alignment between academia and the job market.
