Abstract
Information technology (IT) professionals with management competence and business administrators with IT knowledge are being increasingly valued by companies. Considering the premise that information systems students can benefit from business administration knowledge, and vice versa, this paper presents the design and implementation of an interdisciplinary Certificate of Special Studies (CEE) in IT and Business. The experience has integrated disciplines from the Information Systems and Administration courses, offered in different units of the same higher education institution (USP), using IT resources as an important support for the process. In general, the experience proved to be promising, capable of exercising students' interprofessional, cognitive, metacognitive, social, and emotional skills, in addition to promoting teacher and student integration in both courses involved.
