Abstract
The new patterns of work organization and the emergence of new occupations - phenomena that accompany the installation of an informational society - bring challenges that need to be understood. The book "A quarta revolução industrial e a reforma trabalhista" highlights the impacts of technological innovations on labor relations in Brazil, and brings together arguments to demonstrate that the changes made in the labor legislation did not result from demands of the new productive pattern. Instead of stimulating the creation of jobs, what we see is the dismantling of the protective system of labor relations under the command of neoliberal ideology.
