The journal Tecnologia, Sociedade e Conhecimento is an Open Access journal, which means that all the content is available for free, without any costs to users or their institutions. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, research or create links to complete versions of the articles, or use them for any legal means, without prior consent from the editor or author, so long as they respect Creative Commons licenses, used by the journal. This definition of open access is in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (Iniciativa de Acesso Aberto de Budapeste - BOAI).
