Man-nature relations and the ecological dilemma

Abstract

In this paper I examine different interpretations of the man-nature relations and of the ecological dilemma, through the analyses of the position of paradigmatic authors, like Paehlke, Eckersley and Habermas, using the classification proposed by Lester. In face of the multiple views about the ecological question, I try to understand them, interpretate them and construct a reading sustained by Habermas, Drysek and Brüzeke. It's an alternative that works with the notion of sustainable development, understood as an idea-force that makes possible the search of tecnological ways enrolled in an ecological rationality that links, in a net, a variety of particular projects of “sustainable societies”.
