Abstract
This article aims to analyze the educational practice with children in the Ciranda Infantil of the pre-settlement Elizabeth Teixeira of the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (MST) from the Sociology of Childhood and Popular Education. The children are the basis of educational practice, and in the analysis performed, once they are recognized as subjects of history, actors in the world and protagonists in the struggle for land. The analysis was based on my participation as an educator-researcher in the Ciranda Infantil of the pre-settlement and in the reports of activities of the Popular University extension group, that was used as the research source. The reports present the protagonism of children as subjects in the world and producers of children’s cultures (FERNANDES, 2004; CORSARO, 2011). As a educacional space of the children without landmarkers, the Ciranda Infantil inserts itself into the Popular Education trajectory, set the social movement as a space and educational principle for the formation of the subjects, guarantees the space for the children’s collective meeting and recognizes children as small subjects of the struggle for land, elements that contribute to characterize it as an experience of Popular Children’s Education.
