Abstract
The aim of the article is to respond to the criticism of our proposal for an Expanded Misery Index (IMA) and to update its results with one more year in the series. The authors of the criticism report a divergence in poverty measures, specifically in the year 2020. Our response is another opportunity to present the methodology and objective of the IMA, as well as to present the update of the series up to the year 2022, due to the availability of per capita household income data, through the recent release of the National Household Sample Survey (PNADC).
