Resumo
Saber como foi feita a filmagem e os mistérios dos crimes que a cercam levam o escritor Ellison Oswalt (Ethan Hawk) ao encontro das aparições ao longo do filme. Ao encontro do fantasmagórico e do macabro. Assim, encontrar-se com as imagens é ser possuído por elas e/ou trazido para a sua ‘realidade’.
