Resumo
Este artigo visa investigar a participação das artes e dos artistas nos processos de requalificação urbana das cidades contemporâneas. Recorrendo a autores e autoras dos campos das artes, da sociologia urbana, da geografia humana e dos estudos urbanos críticos, procuramos analisar o projeto de revitalização da zona portuária do Rio de Janeiro, que tem estabelecido alianças e parcerias com as artes, evidenciadas em diferentes ações e projetos. Neste artigo, nos interessa em especial a produção de murais e graffiti na região, tendo como foco central a obra Etnias – somos todos um, realizada por Eduardo Kobra para o Boulevard Olímpico às vésperas das Olimpíadas de 2016.
