Resumen
Este artículo pretende investigar la participación de las artes y de los artistas en los procesos de regeneración urbana de las ciudades contemporáneas. A partir de autores del ámbito de las artes, la sociología urbana, la geografía humana y los estudios urbanos críticos, se pretende analizar el proyecto de revitalización de la zona portuaria de Río de Janeiro, que ha establecido alianzas y colaboraciones con las artes, evidenciadas en diferentes acciones y proyectos. En este artículo, nos interesa especialmente la producción de murales y graffiti en la región, centrándonos en la obra Etnias - somos todos um [Etnias - somos todos uno], creada por Eduardo Kobra para el Bulevar Olímpico en las vísperas de las Olimpiadas de 2016.
