Abstract
I have always been of the opinion that Brazil does not live a conservative wave, on the contrary. A slave country, with 354 years of slavery and the last to abolish, more than 20 years of military dictatorship, has always been conservative. What we have had in recent years has been progressive waves, important, but waves. Today, after this coup, we can see how conservatism is at the base of that country. Just now that we learned to surf.
