The technique and aesthetics of "conformation": (or: for an aesthetic theory of conformation techniques)

Abstract

The essay relates technique and aesthetics as faces of the same process of formation and "conformation" of culture and thought, which forges society in all dimensions (historical, economic, social, individual, political, cultural). Technique and aesthetics show the inseparability of the "material" and "spiritual" aspects and their derivatives: "concrete" and "abstract", "natural" and "cultural", "real", "virtual", etc. Technique alone gives very little information about it and its implications, just as aesthetics, restricted to the study of works of art, may not contribute much to the improvement of the concept itself. This is also due to the problem that today is distinguishing the "work of art" from other aesthetic manifestations of which advertising, for example, is full. The objective is to launch the idea of ​​an aesthetic theory of conformation techniques in social sciences.
