Abstract

The present article intends to carry out a critical assessment on a set of theoretical questions that have been traditionally discussed in the social sciences, for the last 30 years, and which is part of the general conceptual framework commonly known as "Information Society". Special emphasis will be placed on a recently constructed concept that is directly related to the concept of "Information Society": Manuel Castells' "Network Society".
