Resumo
Este artigo oferece, em primeiro lugar, uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a questão dos frisos de Odisseu no Esquilino, uma das mais importantes pinturas remanescentes da arte romana, adicionando comentários específicos à leitura feita por Timothy O’Sullivan sobre a ambulatio da elite que os frisos deveriam estimular. Com os elementos fornecidos por esta análise, pretende-se discutir algumas possibilidades hipotéticas a respeito da reconstituição do conjunto total dos frisos, bem como o seu significado.
