Resumo

O artigo expõe a evolução do conhecimento científico, discutindo como a sociedade vem utilizando a ciência para compreender a realidade a sua volta assim com a si própria por meio do método científico. Ao ser aplicado como objeto de ensino, por meio do processo autoral, assume alta relevância para a assimilação e aprendizagem de conteúdo. Em contrapartida, apresenta uma análise crítica e investigativa do método estrutural de aulas sob o qual as escolas e universidades estão embasadas, questionando a eficiência do sistema atual. Os dados apresentados apontaram para um desempenho falho de licenciados, atribuído à Educação Superior que, ao não estimular o processo autoral em seus graduandos, faz do aluno uma vítima de um processo repetitivo e decorado, subestimando e até mesmo desperdiçando o conhecimento nas salas de aulas.
