Abstract
This essay aims to achieve two main objectives: that of speculation about the state of artistic research, research that, being prospective or implicit in nature, does not fail to combine the meanings of authorship and theory in the same dimension, and that of a point of departure situation after BCIP, Projecto Bases Conceptuais da Investigação em Pintura which had, as its main purpose, to seek to determine and self-determine crucial paths of research into painting in art school. But these two major objectives and path have as their basis the understanding of the history and theory of models of creation based on thinking, doing, and saying – that is, underlined in the perspective that the theory of soft structures (Sanouillet) grants us and opens us to the operative imaginaries of the factum est as a lesson in painting.
