Abstract
In 2022, the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris exhibited Pionnières: Artistes dans le Paris des années folles. By bringing together female artists who worked in Paris during the 1920s, the exhibition faced a demand: to integrate artists from the global south who shared the experience of living and producing in the French capital in the post-war period. The solution was to place them in the last room, called Pionnières de la diversité, with forest-green painted walls, alongside European artists. This work addresses this room and investigates how it engages with the curatorial discourse of Pionnières.
