Abstract

The four westerns directed by North American filmmaker Clint Eastwood had montage and narrative aspects which take it under elusive and symbolic ways. Under the landscapes appears in these movies – mountains, cities and others – it’s localize some thematic axis, like the travel, the drift, the refuge and the memory. Trough sequences and plan sequences chosen from these oeuvres and themes, are attempted to show an itinerary of drifts and ‘phantasmagorias’ into these westerns.
