Abstract
The present debate was held with the intention of reflecting and discussing about Brazilian improvisation, especially its particularities and possibilities of aesthetic autonomy. This discussion is closely related to my ongoing doctoral project developed in the Graduate Program in Music at Unicamp, which is one of the motivations that led me to this dialogue. I investigate Brazilian improvisation as a decolonial, autonomous and particular practice, intending to unveil its "representations", in Hall's terms, and its musical aspects.
