Abstract
In this essay, we work the performance as mise-en-scène for the camera. In the course of our argument, we try to understand photography as a sign of the real, a writing that becomes symbolic when representing the same real in an emblematic image. Next, we take a few cases of performances directed directly at the objective so that they treat the document as a support of ideas and artistic concepts. Finally, we work with the camera representation as a way of elaborating imaginary fictions that refer the conception of subject in the contemporary world.
