Sound moments of Anthropology : interview with Milena Mateuzi Carmo

Abstract

I met Milena Mateuzi in 2022. Me and other fellow anthropologists, who also work with the production of podcasts, organized and offered the workshop “Podcasts and Anthropology: forms of production, possibilities of use in teaching, research, extension and scientific dissemination” at 33rd Brazilian Anthropology Meeting (RBA), a biennial event of our professional association. The workshop started very early, at 8 am, and few people arrived on time, especially since it was August and a large part of the country was experiencing winter temperatures. Milena was always there at the time, with a scarf and a steaming mug, with the camera on, observing everything, taking even more notes, asking questions on the microphone and in the chat. Her interest in the podcast as a medium to communicate Anthropology was visible. This first moment was one of encounter, exchange and identity.
