Abstract

This photoethnographic essay conducted in the summer of 2020 at the interlocutor's residence in the city of Santa Maria (RS/Brazil) and during the doctoral course, is composed of photographs that capture the production of the corporalities of two characters Drag Queens from Santa Maria: Isabelly Popovick and Magenta Cianureto. The objective of this essay is to mediate fantastic imaginations, as well as to present anthropological interpretation about the process that allows Drags to make themselves. As presented, Drags assemble and disassemble corporalities in the transitory temporality of their artistic intentions, but here they are paused in instants that also signify other ways of experiencing gender expressions since Santa Maria da Boca do Monte.
