Abstract
Mexico is a land of volcanoes. The Mexican Geological System identifies 200, of which at least a couple of twenty are active. Popocatépetl is one of them, and of all of them it is the most dangerous. An eruption would affect approximately 25 million people living in the risk zone that includes the states of Puebla, Tlaxcala, Mexico, Morelos and the capital of the country.
