Abstract

Sponsored by Caixa Econômica Federal, the exhibition Farnese de Andrade - Existential Archaeology has been circulating for years through the units of Caixa Cultural. In Curitiba, it opened on September 19, 2017. Days earlier, the exhibition Queermuseu - Cartographies of Difference in Brazilian Art was canceled due to attacks on social networks and at the Santander Cultural unit in Porto Alegre, where it was on display. From then on, any artistic manifestation would dialogue with a political and social situation based on the curtailment of freedom of expression, if the work symbolically dealt with family, religiosity and sexuality.
