Abstract
Feriado em Iporanga is a documentary about the popular culture of a small town in Vale do Ribeira - SP. The story portrays a walk through the life of Iporanga at the time of New Year's Eve 2015: music, festivities, work and a procession that floats over the waters of the Ribeira de Iguape River. The short film is an End of Course Work presented to the Department of Cinema, Radio and Television at ECA-USP in February 2016. It was filmed by a crew of 7 people, with DSLR cameras. The shooting took one week. Considering the stages of pre-production and editing and finalization, the realization process took 2 years (2014-2016).
