Abstract

The publication of Alfred Gell's Art and Agency 20 years after the release of its original English edition is cause for celebration. With this pleasant and inviting Portuguese edition from Ubu, it becomes easier for us to bring to our students and the wider public an approach that has not only revolutionized the Anthropology of Art but also the broader field of reflection around the arts.
