Abstract

The present interview continues the series Founders, dedicated to celebrate the history of the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology of the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) at Unicamp, starting from its first professors - Verena Stolcke (then Verena Martinez-Alier), Antônio Augusto Arantes and Peter Fry, and the circumstances that date back to their happy meeting, 46 years ago. Conducted in Campinas, from November 3 to 6, 2013, by some students of the Program, the interviews are linked to the 3rd edition of the Jornadas de Antropologia John Monteiro and figure as an important document of anthropology in Brazil, approached/thought from the point of view of its protagonists.
