Resumo

Introdução/comentário, notas e tradução da pequena prosa bizantina Coisas que os Helenos opinam acerca dos demónios (Τίνα περὶ δαιμόνων δοξάζουσιν ῞Ελληνες). Opúsculo de autoria dúbia, atribuído a Pselo. De teor demonológico, retrata a temática titular em oito secções distintas, contemplando informações respeitantes a tipos, formas, características possessões/efeitos de demónios, prognose, feitiçaria, magia, rituais e invocações. Próximo de Timóteo ou Sobre a Atuação dos Demónios (Τιμόθεος ἢ Περὶ Ενέργειας Δαιμόνων), expõe um traço neoplatónico, em período judaico-cristão, desvelando conhecimento e apreço pela tradição clássica de matriz helénica, adaptada, mutatis mutandis, à temática demonológica deveras em voga no contexto bizantino.
