Abstract
We intend to show in this article that there is a close interweaving between legal language and political language in Machiavelli’s work. We will show that this entanglement is present not only in political work, but also in literary work. Of the first one we will examine some passages of History of Florence and of Discorsi; of the latter, the novel Belfagor. Finally, we will show that there is a recursive relationship between law and tumult.
