Resumen
En los últimos años hemos visto un creciente número de estudios dedicados a la relación entre humanos y plantas entre pueblos amerindios. Una característica compartida por estos trabajos es el objeto de estudio, a saber, las plantas autóctonas, sean estas plantas cultivadas o plantas maestras. El encuentro colonial, sin embargo, suscitó la aparición de un conjunto de plantas autóctonas de otros lugares del globo – alóctonas – que fueron incorporadas en tierras indígenas. En este articulo busco describir la incorporación del plátano (musa x paradisiaca) en el sistema personal y familiar de los nativos kichwa en el Departamento San Martín desde diversas dimensiones que constituyen un “devenir-con” que las torna compañeras.
