Abstract
The article intends to discuss landscapes from a preservationist perspective. The objective is to present the meanings and practices of preservation postulated by two different currents of thought, conservationism and permaculture. The reflections that follow were inspired by a walk taken with a permaculturist during field research. Walking and listening to their perspectives made me realize that “preservation” sometimes puts in dispute, sometimes in overlapping, different meanings of landscape, therefore, of natures with regard to modern thought.
