Abstract
Although its duration and impacts, Contestado War (1912-1916) remains little recollected as part of the history of the state of Paraná, and as part of the history of the people who live in regions that had been affected by the conflict. This article intends to discuss how the absence of the War, as an event fixed in time and characterized by extreme violence, constitutes the historicity of groups currently fighting for their traditional territories. By doing so, it observes the particular constructions and practices that subjects have of their history and of the history of Contestado region, which pass through kinship, territory and religiosity.References
