Resumo
Choir practice is a musical activity closely tied with time and space, where its singers members traditionally must be simultaneously in the same location at the same time. Recent advances in information and communications technologies (ICT) has allowed the creation of musical virtual reality environments such as in the project entitled “Virtual Choir”, by Eric Whitacre, where the participants of a choir are remotely located and sometimes hadn't even meet each other in person. This work seeks to theoretically explore the intervenient technological, methodological and musical impacts in the remote cooperation of singers participants of virtual choirs, as well as investigate what are the possible differences in the emotional state of their members.
