Abstract

The non-transmissible chronic diseases - NTCD are important cause of death globally. In 2008, they caused 36 million deaths. Cecom adopted the CUIDE-SE Program as a collective approach stratey to detect and treat these pathologies, of which the Motivational Group is part. Motivate the healthcare on NTCDs, adequate the assistance-oriented demand and recognize the subjectivity's influence on NTCD treatment. Collective service, by multidisciplinary team. The participants are divided in groups of 12. Each group has a single nineteen-minute meeting. After the blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index measurement, the word is open to the group for exchange of experiences. Guidance on NTCDs are given, as well as on physical activity, healthy food, smoking and use of psychoactive substances. After the collective approach, individual guidance and proper referrals for treatment are made, if necessary. Until June/2016, the Motivational Group was taken to 11 Units, reaching 1,284 people. The Motivational Group enables a diagnosis of the epidemiologic profile of a Unit's employees, for subsequent planning of the necessary health promotion actions.
