Abstract

CECOM performs, since 2010, the Health Program at Units (PSU) as health promotion strategy, with interventions performed to create a self-care mentality, reversing the physician-oriented health attention model, stimulating the individuals' co-responsibility in the health/disease process. In 2012, we started the program CUIDE-SE [Take Care of Yourself] to control non-transmissible chronic diseases (focused on the systemic high blood pressure), made up by a travelling Motivational (tracking) Group and a fixed Therapeutic (treatment) Group. Implement Preventive Health programs, according to each Unit's profile, improve the community participation in Preventive Health Programs, track the most prevalent diseases at UNICAMP and take health promotion activities to the individuals' workplace. After the performance of Motivational CUIDE-SE at CEMEQ, this Unit was diagnosed as "risky", due to the age range older than 50 years old, predominantly male, presenting high BMI, BP and capillar blood glucose indexes. We proposed a customized PSU, accepted by the Unit coordination. The PSU's health questionnaire subsidized the organization of the following program: Lectures: Coração Saudável [Healthy Heart], Saúde do Homem [Men's Health], Atividade Física [Physical Activity] and Alimentação Saudável [Healthy Eating]. Vaccination update. CTA (in english, Testing and Counselling Center). The participation of employees in the offered activities was significant (80% average adhesion). Two CECOM programs created a link between each other, aiming the full care. Our goal is to interconnect the activities offered by CECOM to the university community, aiming to improve the life quality.
