Abstract

The program Citizen Space is a Program developed by GGBS (Social Benefit Managing Group), whose purpose is to give opportunity to the University's employees to have a knowledge expansion space, thus enabling the access to information on Social Rights and public utility. Therefore, it enables them to have ownership and empower with these rights. The program began their activities in 2014, to meet a demand surveyed by the Social Service Department, in which was observed, through social services, that many employees have their social situation worsened because they don't know their rights, and neither where to find them. Therefore, the target audience are University's employees and their legal dependents. The Program develops its actions through conversation rounds, with the exhibition of public network's social equipment, which present the services provided to the Community and how to access them. The actions are carried out in partnerships with Procon, Federal Public Defender, Cravi, CIC, CRI, OAB and Campinas City Hall. Since its launch, the Program held 7 meetings, totalling 141 participants.
