Abstract
Based on the latest researches about Child Pedagogy and emphasizing the importance of child empowerment - even when it comes to babies, we report here the experience lived on Interaction I at CECI - Child Interaction Center/UNICAMP with babies aged from 6 months to 1 year and 3 months old. Such experience approaches the art issue as the baby's sensory experience, possibility to be in contact with new materials, emphasizing the importance of the educator not only on planning and execution, but as enabler of relationship and contact with the new thing presented. In this experience, the plaster was used, applied to the canvas in collective painting and natural paints made of carrot, beet, cabbage, passion fruit, chili and saffron. The babies could handle the plaster, feel its texture being modified on the canvas and, in other moment, paint ther marks left with natural paints in a tube, which wre melting and being tasted along the process. We see that such sensory and artistic experiences with babies are important, since they learned with their whole body, and we emphasize that the educator's involvement is essential for the relationship with the unknown to occur in a more intense way, always respecting each one's times to live the experience.![Creative Commons License](http://i.creativecommons.org/l/by/4.0/88x31.png)
