Abstract

This work's purpose is to show discoveries that children from "Butterflies" class (interaction II) make with their body in the first years of their lives, within the Health Area Daycare/Unicamp. In this stage, the small children start to integrate their upper and lower movements. For that, we decided to work with movement circuit, which aims the own body's limit knowledge, musculature strengthening and space exploration. Then, walking, rising, moving away, moving and other actions acquire new exploration ways. This whole process, though common to all children, takes place in a singular way for each one of them. Through driveability, the child meets the world, explores situations, and experiences sensations, thus building basic notions for one's intellectual development, modifying the environment in which one is inserted. According to the National Basic Education Curricular Guidelines (page 96, 2013) "the child must have the possibility to make displacements and wide movements in internal and external spaces to the classes' reference rooms to the institution, involving in explorations and games with objects and diversified materials, which contemplates the particularities of different ages". It is the teacher's responsibility to provide a "challenging" environment for children, so they can experience new discoveries in a playful way; however, he/she must not interfere or make definitive assessments regarding child experiences. The project is still in progress, since we intend to make a parameter on the achievements acquired along 2016.
