Abstract

We know that children, from an early age, are very curious. Therefore, the Project named "My dear bird" came from the children's interest, in a conversation round. Birds are very important in the children's everyday world, by their presence through stories, cartoons and in every place where they live and walk, leading children to have a character to identify their personal and social experiences. The project leads to knowledge learning, to respect for birds, which are important living creatures to our planet and to humans, as Nature components. Therefore, the environment importance is recognized, for the life of all living beings in the planet, and the imminent decrease of it, every single day, due to various issues, aiming to sensitize and aware the child from children's education, the environment preservation, as a way to ensure the humanity's future. Through experiences already lived by students in their family scope, this project's main task was to contribute to conscious citizens' education, able to decide and act before the reality being faced by the world, regarding the poor planet conservation. For this, we need more than information and concepts, more attitudes and value development, which will be learned on daily practice, in the social environment.
