Professionals without borders program: boldness and innovation

Abstract

It is a permanent program at the University, which promotes the consolidation, expansion and internationalization through actions developed on the context of SIMTEC, PAEPE Awards, VRERI Mobility, and other pertinent actions to the employees' professional development, going beyond borders, proposing the integration between the University's teaching, research and extension. This program, which is being implemented, is a pioneer on the public level, ensuring the professional and academic development from the Campinas State University's employee. Its purpose is to contribute to the development of abilities and competences to unfold and prepare technical-scientific works, promoting the administrative employee's participation and insertion in the university and academic environment. Nowadays, we noted that the University system does not have a space enabling an interlocution with the three categories (students, professors and employees), occurring competence waste, suppressing the University's potential development. The "Professionals without Borders" program space aims the following unfoldings: permanent education; professional training and technical support for the project creation and submission. This strategic vision formulates conditions in order to develop and improve the following action lines, based on the unfoldings: 1) translation services into another language (English) for articles and projects; 2) bibliographic and ethic guidance and normalization when researching works to be submitted to SIMTEC and similar ones; 3) help on preparing projects and notices; 4) help on how to prepare scientific articles; 5) elevator pitch and other formats. Counting on the continuous support from the University bodies, which operate with the professional development, it will be possible to have the physical structuring investment to install the software and financial investment, so we can have the education of professionals without borders at the University.
