Abstract

The fight against racism is a relevant subject. It is important to make reinforcement mechanisms to progress, so racism can be eliminated. The school is a privileged space for the educational, cultural and awareness background. Various employees at Unicamp, especially those who also work on public schools, have provided contribution with pedagogic actions and strategies, successful experiences and possibilities of replication, Methods Applied for 70 students in the school year of 2015. The use of classroom technology, such as the mobile phone, seen as negative in class processes, due to students' dispersion, can and must become strategic. That is what happened in a public school close to Unicamp. Students were challenged to organize groups, debate the racism issue, then, using the mobile phone, expose ideas, denunciation when fighting racism. Results Videos were made with a mobile phone. In one of them, set at one group member student's house, there was a narrative preparation, whose plot was focused on the subject. It affected the specialized group that followed up the project, the qualified construction carried out by the students. The video was exhibited in various public schools in the east Campinas region, as an example of an innovative and efficient practice in the articulation of various school subjects. Final considerations The project was carried out with the participation of Unicamp professionals, who also work, in a complementary time, in teaching activities. In partnership with Puc-Campinas.
