Abstract

The academic institutions have a relevant role to be fulfilled when it comes to the improvement of educational indexes on the public schools context. There is a demand from teachers of the elementary and high school for the discussion to consider the school environment in a realist and valued way. Methods Considering this, there was an understanding and valuation partnership of a school unit, located in a blue-collar neighborhood, involving Unicamp, through GGBS, PUC-Campinas, Social Communication Department and EE Prof. Adalberto Prado e Silva, located between the two academic institutions, promoting research of the school results. The use of technology in classroom was analyzed as an improvement tool of the learning results. Results There was a rescue of various positive results evidenced by the press and related to the school unit and institutional partnerships. Going against the prevalence of negative aspects, usually given prominence. Then, the recognition to a work frequently invisible at the school's daily routine was promoted, reaching teachers, in recognition to the teamwork. The teacher team was strengthened exactly in what was already produced by them, in a sense of appreciating the teacher, the use of communication technologies and relationship with the society, through press organizations, also analyzing manipulation aspects. The students were also reached; they were motivated to develop, and performed, in an impacting way, a Racism-themed work. A video, made by the students, with extension project guidance, was selected as an index of good educational practices.
