Parceria UNICAMP: coursera para realização de MOOCS na área de extensão

Abstract

In September 2014, Unicamp has partnered with Coursera to providing extension courses in mode MOOC - Massive Open Online Courses, English Massive Open Online Courses. The courses are produced by Unicamp in Portuguese and made available through Coursera platform. The partnership was established through the
Dean of Extension and Community Affairs - PREAC and courses are formalized by Extecamp in broadcast mode. The content of MOOCs, produced by professors from Unicamp, is totally open and free to any person registered as a student on the platform. The student pays a fee, which varies from 29 to 49 dollars, only if
you wish to receive a certificate after completing the course. So far, four were available loose courses, and a multiple of 4 subjects. These courses are in different areas such as Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Arts, Languages and Information Technology. In addition to fulfilling an important role to society, bringing free knowledge to more than 32,000 students enrolled, the MOOCs provide great national and international visibility to Unicamp and its faculty, it has been accessed by more than 67,000 visitors from all continents the planet (data 07/01/2016). Encouraged by the impact of MOOCs University, has increased the interest of many teachers for extension of distance learning courses in general. To foster the development and offering
new MOOCs, is being prepared a tender for selection of these projects, seeking to maintain high levels of quality, efficiency and interest of students worldwide.
