Resumo
O romance antigo romano Historia Apollonii regis Tyri (História do rei Apolônio, de Tiro), de autor desconhecido, tem o desenvolvimento de suas intrigas ligado ao tempo do matrimônio. O romance apresenta-nos o rei Apolônio, que, após muitas adversidades, acaba por casar-se com uma princesa de Cirene, filha do rei Arquístrates. Assim como Apolônio, a realização afetiva de diversas personagens dá-se no matrimônio.
