Abstract

In Lenin's extraordinary personality and activity, there is an aspect that is scarcely studied but which presents a dimension that is both theoretical and pedagogical: the fight against the “revolutionary phrase”, loud and hollow. Any movement that wants to think and act politically, without “getting wrapped up in words, declamations and exclamations”, must free itself from it and remain on constant vigilance against it. The problem arises in a particularly acute way for the popular classes who, because of their social subordination, have no experience of managing power and, furthermore, do not intend to limit themselves to administering what exists, but aspire to profoundly modify it.
