Abstract

The tradition [originating from the revolutionary struggle of 1789], I see it clearly in the Commune of 1871, I see it, some might say, quite clear, or rather, heavy: this heritage (modified, of course, deformed, but, in essence , intact) that we rediscover in the acts, thoughts, and gestures of the men of the Commune, from top to bottom.
