French historians debate the Paris Commune

Abstract

Several reasons led us to publish this document: the relevance of the experience of the Paris Commune in the history of the labor and socialist movement, the quality of the aforementioned debate, the importance of its theme, its political implications and, also, the interest that The Paris Commune awoke in Brazil during 2001, on the occasion of events commemorating its 130th anniversary.
