Abstract
Members of anti-capitalist movements are often criticized for only knowing what they are fighting against and not what they are fighting for. I believe the opposite is true: most people know perfectly well what they are fighting for – for example, social justice, peace, democracy and a sustainable environment – but they are less clear what, specifically, they need to fight against to achieve these goals. More precisely, people are not always clear about what “capitalism” means in “anti-capitalism” and how this affects their hopes for building a better world.
