Abstract

The text reveals a paradoxical affinity between a politics (of Hobbes) and an economy (of Marx), raking both authors as our contemporaries. The first one spoke of a society of wolves to be converted in an order of reason; the second, of an inverted world, verkehrte Welt, to be repositioned in place. With Hobbes, we heralded the modern intention of founding a political order on the shared word. The situation is singularly complicated with the advent of The Capital. Marx opens a "new frontier" to Political Philosophy, that of the economy. The Marx moment presents itself as interesting because it precedes the division of the Social Sciences, its intention of independence, its farewell to Philosophy. Here we recognize Political Philosophy, which is inseparable of the social theory.
