Abstract
The Socialist Register is one of the most important Marxist magazines in the Anglo-Saxon world. Founded just over forty years ago by historian John Saville and sociologist and political scientist Ralph Miliband to promote critical analysis of contemporary capitalism, it has an annual periodicity. In this sense, the virtuous combination between a theoretical level and an undeniable commitment to emancipatory proposals has encouraged us to promote its publication in Portuguese by Clacso.
